Digital media & print design
Being a Graphic Designer isn’t just a career; it’s a journey of continual learning and creative discovery. I take immense pride in every design I do. Below is a small sampling of my graphic design portfolio including digital and print work such as invitations, logos, branding, graphics, e-newsletters, calendars, mailers, booklets, and brochures. Please reach out to inquire about additional project reference examples. I am accustomed to working with printers and suppliers for production of printed material and promotional merchandise as well.
invitations
I have had the opportunity to design various kinds of invitations for clients ranging from wedding showers, baby showers, and birthday events. These were designed for both digital and print purposes. The Chicago themed invitation was digital but also printed on a cake and redesigned for large printed entrance signage.
LOGO DESIGN
Designing a good logo is crucial for establishing a strong brand identity. Logo design is an avenue in graphic design I thoroughly enjoy and find tremendously rewarding upon reaching a final design. I have been contracted to design logos for a variety of clients and have been fortunate to have designed additional company’s with alternate logo designs for added flexibility, modern updates, and brand strength. Here are a couple favorite logo designs in recent projects I’ve designed.
COMPANY BRANDING PROJECT
2019-2020:
The primary logo for this company was modified with small changes from the original to strengthen the design with more uniformity and increase readability at a smaller scale since a completely new logo was not allowed and the brand already established.
Alternate Logo Created
The primary logo originally created for the company was not flexible and legible when scaled down or used in a vertical space so there was a need for an alternate logo to stand out better in small spaces and offer a more stacked format. I am very proud of the alternate logo I designed and I feel it is a much stronger representation for the brand.
Favicon Created
The company never established a favicon as a part of the brand initially so I had the ability to design this branding icon for browser tabs.
Branding
2019-2020
When I joined the team this company only had an established primary logo as seen first above. As it began a small company and quickly grew there finally was the need to establish branding guidelines, so I worked with a team to design the first brand book.
Inside the brand book I was given the role for the overall design and layout, and the process of developing a set color palette for the company, which revolved around the logo for primary colors, but I decided to add a secondary color in to compliment and contrast the primary colors.
Since I developed the alternate logo and favicon, I also created the section for all the logo guidelines including the different color variations of each logo, the clear space, minimum size, the background color rules and incorrect usage guidelines.
I also created the company grid and letterhead. I had help from other teammates in other sections of the book to provide additional content for typography and imagery and develop the story and brand identity. The book was created in CMYK for print with saddle stitch binding for the final look. Additional copies were created as an interactive digital PDF file for employees. Overall this was a project of mine I was proud of that took a lot of time and thought, I’m grateful I was able to push into a new realm of design and experience with branding, I learned a lot.

DIGITAL MEDIA
Ads & nEWSLETTERS
Another aspect of graphic design projects include designing digital ads or newsletters for marketing. Content varies for each project which I design the entire layout, written content, graphics and callouts for each one. The most frequent newsletter topics and ad designs are for new product campaigns. I do all the product photography that’s needed, strategize and write any of the content, design the layout and all the imagery along with analyzing the performance to determine the success rate.
